Since before there was an internet McLean Automation has specialised in user affordable SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) systems. Our recent efforts have focused on making these systems web based, enabling remote asset management as close as your iPad or smartphone. The websites we build use secure two factor authentication, run on redundant servers and are customised for each client using a library of off-the-shelf graphing, scheduling & database modules. Much of our software is platform independent so some of the code can be run on an on-site SBC (single board computer) for the best split of functionality appropriate for your project.
Remote sites are typically accessed by a cellular connection but satellite is an option for remote sites lacking 3G/4G coverage that don’t need image uploads to the server (satellite bandwidth is still relatively expensive).
At the remote sites we can supply an innovative range of short haul radio licence exempt control & monitoring networks, imaging systems & modbus monitors &/or controllers integrated with either on site or internet based SCADA. Our expertise extends from simple software and hardware supply to specification, through to full system design.
